Leslie, the Alabama Foodist, is a former trainer for Restaurant Rating Service and loves promoting local restaurants who “get it right” with food, atmosphere, and service!
Dining out locally and sharing her experiences on Twitter to promote the local spots that don’t always get recognition is one of her favorite things!
She is an admitted food history nerd and is passionate about preserving traditional southern food, restaurant history, and cooking techniques.
Her blog is where she likes to store the stories and recipes that she collects (Thealabamafoodist.com). Leslie has a ridiculous collection of antique cookbooks and an even more ridiculous love of Crystal Palace Football!

Allen “AJ” Johnson started his career in radio while obtaining his Associates in Applied Science degrees in Video Technology from North Lake Community College (Irving, Texas) in 2007. He joined CBS Radio in Dallas Texas as a Part Time Promotions Assistant in 2005. After graduating he moved to Chicago and had the opportunity to work at legendary Talk Station 105.3 WCKG and News Station WBBM - AM which later led to his long-term commitment to Cumulus Media, Birmingham, Alabama.
Currently A.J. holds multiple career titles affiliated with Cumulus Birmingham. Titles include On-Air Personality on WUHT HOT 1077, Senior Executive Producer for WZRR TALK 99.5, and the Co-Host of Breaking Bread on WZRR TALK 99.5.
A.J. also founded Goodbye AJ Media in 2010, a full-service photography/videography company and online network source broadcasted on YouTube highlighting playlists of underground artists' musical work, local food and travel show.
Johnson is also a proud member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, and received his bachelor’s from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He also lives by his personal motto, “Too blessed to be depressed.” as a reminder to stay motivated at all times. A.J. always finds a way to uplift those around him, reminding them to continue pushing forward regardless of any circumstances they may be facing.
